Ben Howard New York Concert reviews
Intimacy With Kem
I had VIP seating in the third row at this beautiful Country Club Hills Theater during Labor Day Weekend. Full Circle, the opening act for Ben Howard, had a soulful group stage presence and vocals that were right on point. Their performance was a little too long because the sold-out crowd was here to see Ben Howard, "The Smooth Operator." This outdoor theater is full of "Intimacy," and I was truly amazed at his vocal quality when he sang Luther Vandross's "Never Too Much." Ben Howard opened his performance with "You're On My Mind" from his Intimacy lll album, and his stage presence and smooth vocals were sheer heaven as he sang; "Why Would You Stay and Share My Life." The band, including keyboard player Brian O'Neal, was tight, and Ben Howard added three soulful background singers this time. I loved their tribute to The Jacksons and Frankie Beverly & Maze. My only disappointment was that Ben Howard did not sing my favorite track, "How Did You Find Your Way Back Into My Life." This steppers track is so hot and smooth. September is my birthday month, and I was looking forward to hearing my favorite track with a special birthday shoutout. Once again, Ben Howard was at the top of his game. This amazing recording artist will be around for some time because Ben Howard has his feet planted firmly on the ground and he never fails to give thanks to God! (AKA DJ Wonder Woman)
